Welcome  to the homepage  for Boy Scout Troop 225 !

Boy Scout Troop 225 is an active troop. The Troop currently has 59 scouts registered and has an active group of parents involved with the troop.  We meet the first 3 Tuesday's of each month (Sept. - May) at Stevenson United Methodist Church in Berlin, MD. (link to directions)

Membership in the Troop is available to boys who have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old or have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10, or who are 11, but not yet 18 years old.

Troop 225 is committed to local youth and to the welfare of our community. Through leadership, survival and preparedness training, Troop 225 is supplying our community with responsible youth who have a firm grasp on reality. This is accomplished by providing our scouts with the ability to enjoy activities generally not available outside of scouting.

Community activities included -

Partnering with Clean Streams at Isle of Wight Wildlife Management Area and removing trash from the marsh areas

Cleaning up after Relay for Life at Frontier Town

Assisting with Ocean City's Marathon

Working with the Life Saving Station assisting with games geared towards children at Sunset Park

Setting up for the Memorial Day service at the Worcester County Veteran's Memorial at Ocean Pines.

Fund-raising events included a Waterman's dinner, Applebees's Pancake breakfast, Synepuxent Rod & Gun Club Turkey Shoot and selling popcorn.

Recent activities included a high adventure hiking trip to the Presidential Range in New Hampshire. Last Summer the troop went to summer camp at Rodney Scout Reservation.

Generally the troop has a camping trip every month. Last year we had weekend trips to -

Valley Forge

Ski trips to Camelback and Elk Mountain

Indoor Rock Climbing at Earth Treks in Timonium

Antietam National Battlefield

Appalachian Trail hike from Gathland State Park to I-70
